WASTELAND

Hello everyone,
In this week's lesson, we visited the wasteland location. I got information about the region from the storytellers. I took on various assignments and answered quiz questions. Now I will tell you about the wasteland.
Wastelands are ecologically unstable lands which are low in productivity and severely affected by soil erosion, stress conditions, and hostile environmental conditions.Abandoned mine lands, mine tailing disposal sites, deforested areas, overgrazing land, and barren lands are examples of these types of locations. Soil quality and land production have suffered as a result of poor land use practices. It is estimated that biomass production in wasteland reduced by 80% of its actual potential. To restore the productivity and functions of the wasteland, it is important to restore its vegetation and soil cover similar to pre-disturbance conditions. (Pandey, Ahirwal, 2020)

Wasteland wants to show us the worst-case scenario. In the easiest way, it shows us what it would be like to have an environment in which the world is plunged into a very bad future as a result of climate change and a large part of humanity is wiped out. Or I could write that there is a theme based on whether there will be climate change, which is another topic of discussion, that is, whether there will be a worst-case scenario.

DON'T MISS THE FUN.
